Course Student Representative for entire duration of the Entertainment Technology degree, and Faculty of Technology Student Representative during 2nd and final year of degree, attending many board and committee meetings and assisting with Quality Assurance Agency external audit of university.
Successfully managed University of Portsmouth Student Enterprise unit in 2003, creating a professionally packaged and mastered double CD of student recordings for the Creative Technologies department, raising Ł137 for the Dreams Come True Charity after every copy sold.
Strong involvement with Student Union, as a member of the Union Council and writer contributing articles and reviews to the Student Union magazine 'Pugwash'.
Further gig reviews published on official band websites for New Order and Arab Strap, as well as album reviews appearing in the Vanity Project music fanzine.

Personal Profile

Own personal interest in, and experience of sound, music and video recording, graphic and web design makes employment in the recording, music or broadcasting industries ideal as such employment reflects academic work as well as own pursuits. Bachelor of Science upper division second class honours degree in Entertainment Technology (awarded in 2004) provides thorough grounding in principals and technology of multimedia and cultural practices, with heavy emphasis on project management and teamwork. Vocational role as a producer and composer of radio advertisements and jingles at Matt Hopper Productions, as well as a wealth of recording work with various musicians in home studio demonstrates ability to adapt practicably to changing requirements of clients in intensive sessions, as well as skilful management of time and resources.
