Tye Dye FM was conceived and created by Andrew Morrison, Paul Spicer, and Michael Stoddard for the Entertainment Technology BSc Honours degree second year unit 'An Introduction to Radio Production and Presentation'.  To compliment the half-hour simulated radio show, news background music was produced by Andrew Morrison, with station idents and mock-up advertisements recorded by Paul, Andy and Mike, with additional voice-overs by Jane Digweed and Scott Ruston.
