Lee-On-The-Solent Asylum Seekers Documentary

This short documentary film was recorded by a small group of Entertainment Technology students for the 'Managing Video Media Production' year two unit.  This documentary was filmed in May 2003, and the proposals discussed have since been shelved by the Labour Government.  As well as providing the voice-over for this film, Andrew Morrison also conducted many of the interviews of local residents, assisted in the editing and producing of the film, and carried out much of the initial research to find the related information and contacts involved.  The film can be viewed as a 4 megabyte low quality WMV file, or downloaded as a high quality AVI file, although at 147 megabytes, this will take quite some time to download, even with a fast Internet connection.  To listen to some of the isolated narration recorded by Andrew Morrison for this film, click here.

You will need Windows Media Player installed on your PC to play the WMV file.  If you do not have it, it can be obtained for free here.  If you have a broadband, cable or ADSL modem, left clicking the WMV link below will stream it to your PC.  If you have a slower modem you will need to save the file before opening it  To do this, right click the link then select where you wish to save the file on your hard disc using the 'Save As...' option.  A 147 megabyte high quality AVI version can also be downloaded by right-clicking the second link, although this will take quite some time to download, even on fast Internet connections.
